How to hand forge a Wrought iron. Hobbit door hinge.

IMG_9653Hammersmith Studios Just Recently completed a  Decorative Hand forged Wrought iron hinge for a customer . We could not be more pleased with the outcome. It was designed by Hammmersmith Studios  for a Children’ s play room and was a main focal point for the interior design concept. The material chosen for the hinge was three sixteenth thick mild steel and was embellish with decorative motifs such as leaves and funny little creaturesto create a sense of whimsy.  there where some interesting challenges with this project such as properly aligning the hinge barrels so as to allow the door to swing level. after any hour of tweaking and adjusting it worked perfectly and the Customer had it installed for his holiday party and after all that what it is all about .
